Mobilux-Conforama deal referred to French watchdog by EU

( June 29, 2020, 12:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plans by Mobilux to buy Conforama have just been referred to France's Autorité de la Concurrence by the European Commission, the national watchdog said. Both companies are active in the retail of furniture, home decoration and household appliances. Despite the turnover having a European dimension, the parties asked for the deal to be referred to the French watchdog, considering it to be better placed to review it. The Autorité said Mobilux will now have to formally notify it of its planned acquisition.Statement follows. ...
