Ball discloses it agreed to sell two can plants in Brazil to get Rexam deal cleared

( January 15, 2016, 14:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ball has announced that it has agreed to sell two can manufacturing plants in Brazil to get clearance for its deal with UK drink-can maker Rexam. The Brazilian regulator approved the deal last month, but hadn't disclosed the remedy. Ball will sell its Alagoinhas plant in Bahia state and Jacareí plant in Sao Paulo state.  The company also disclosed that the European Commission has also approved the deal with the divestiture of 12 plants.The full statement is attached.
