Italy’s antitrust watchdog loses legal challenge of annulled MRI equipment cartel fines

( January 15, 2019, 12:17 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Italy’s Council of State has sided with a lower court’s decision to scrap cartel fines imposed on magnetic-resonance equipment suppliers Toshiba Medical Systems, Siemens, Philips and Alliance Medical, in rulings made in December but only published on Monday, Jan. 14. The fines were imposed by Italy’s competition watchdog in 2011, for alleged bid-rigging during a tender organized by Soresa, a regional healthcare provider.The court rulings are attached in Italian.
