Huawei trial should be postponed another year, US government tells judge

( February 18, 2022, 22:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The already-delayed trial between Huawei and the US Department of Justice on charges that Huawei participated in a conspiracy to steal trade secrets, as well as charges of wire fraud and obstruction of justice, should be delayed another year until October 2023, federal prosecutors told a federal judge in Seattle. Delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, coupled with "the complexity of the charges contained in the Indictment" mean the government needs more time to prepare for trial, with federal prosecutors asking US Judge Ricardo S. Martinez to postpone the trial until Oct. 16, 2023.See document below....
