Faire Wholesale sues Tundra in US court on hacking, scraping claims

( May 23, 2023, 19:36 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Faire Wholesale, an online platform company in San Francisco that connects independent brands with independent retailers, has filed litigation against Tundra claiming violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act through scraping data from its platform, as well as violations of the Lanham Act and other laws. "Tundra’s actions compromise the security of the Faire platform and user accounts.  Faire has demanded that Tundra stop accessing its platform, but it refuses.  Faire has also implemented technological measures to try to stop Tundra from accessing and scraping the Faire platform without permission, but Tundra has devised means to circumvent Faire’s security tools," Faire said in a complaint filed in US district court in San Francisco.
