CADE clears Solvay’s acquisition of Ryton from Chevron Phillips

( October 30, 2014, 10:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Plastics maker Solvay Specialty Polymers USA has gained Brazilian antitrust approval for its plan to buy Ryton, the polyphenylene sulfide business of Chevron Phillips Chemical. The unit of Belgian chemical maker Solvay will pay $220 million for Ryton, which has operations in Borger, Texas and in Kallo-Beveren, Belgium. Chevron Phillips Chemical is a joint venture of Chevron and Phillips 66.
