EU trade disputes against India, Colombia to move to adjudication as WTO resumes proceedings

By Joanna Sopinska ( June 23, 2020, 12:01 GMT | Insight) -- EU challenges against India and Colombia at the World Trade Organization are expected to progress to the adjudication stage next week, MLex has learned. The disputes relate to Colombian dumping duties on frozen fries and Indian import tariffs on information and communication technology products. MLex understands that the EU will resubmit its requests for panels to be assembled to resolve the two disputes at a WTO meeting on June 29. The same meeting will see Indonesia submit a request for a panel in a dispute against the EU over the bloc’s import restrictions on biofuel based on palm oil.EU challenges against India and Colombia at the World Trade Organization are expected to progress to the adjudication stage next week, MLex has learned....
