Former PetroChina chairman’s family faces detailed corruption allegations

By Toh Han Shih ( January 11, 2016, 10:14 GMT | Insight) -- Details of corrupt acts by the wife and son of Jiang Jiemin, a former chairman of China National Petroleum Corp, or CNPC, and its listed subsidiary PetroChina, were revealed by Chinese state media today, following the recent rollout of tougher anti-corruption laws against bribing officials’ relatives. Today, the website of Chinese state news agency Xinhua carried a report by a Beijing newspaper with details of corrupt transactions that Jiang Jiemin engaged in, and allegations of similar conduct by his wife Shi Kuiying and son Jiang Feng, involving property, cars and cash cards.
