German Government statement: Gorleben nuclear repository project totalling cost of 1.51 billion euros so far

In its running period 1977-2007, the project cost a total of 1.51 bln euros. The government has said that future costs for Gorleben will depend on a future political decisions to proceed with the disposal of high-level, heat-generating waste from nuclear power plants.The government has released the costs of other projects including Morsleben, estimated at a total of 2.2 bln euros....
