Herald Ruijters, Michela Matuella move up at DG Move, EU regulator says

( December 6, 2023, 13:58 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Dutch national Herald Ruijters has been appointed Deputy Director-General at the European Commission's unit in charge of transport and mobility, the EU executive said today. Ruijters who is currently director for investment, innovative and sustainable transport, is well-positioned to advance policies that shape and enhance the transport and energy sectors, the commission said. In a separate decision, the regulator also promoted Italian national Michela Matuella — currently head at the watchdog's neighborhood and enlargement unit DG Near — to serve as director for ‘Waterborne' at DG Move.Statements follow....
