BMU Statement: Permit for commercial exploitation of offshore wind energy in Germany

Further plans for an additional six wind power plants to be built in 2009 are under negotiation with company REpower. In addition to the two construction projects, RAVE (Research At Alpha Ventus) a research initiative, will be granted 50 million euros by the German environment ministry to fund further research into potential wind energy sources in the area....
