Messer Gases, Linde, Praxair lose bid to drop cartel sanctions in Peru

( June 17, 2020, 14:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Peru's Supreme Court has rejected appeals by Messer Gases del Perú, Linde Gas Perú and Praxair Perú concerning fines totaling $6.94 million for participating in a bid-rigging cartel involving liquid and gas medical oxygen from 1999 to 2004, according to a statement. The National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property, or Indecopi, began its investigation after a complaint filed by insurance company EsSalud.See Indecopi press release below (in Spanish)....
