DOJ acknowledges grand jury investigation of capacitor price-fixing, asks judge to stay private litigation

( October 23, 2014, 01:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: In court documents filed Wednesday, the US Department of Justice asked US District Judge James Donato to stay private antitrust litigation alleging price-fixing in the capacitors industry until at least April, 2015. The DOJ's antitrust division requested the discovery stay to allow a federal grand jury empanelled in the Northern District of California to complete its investigation into allegations of price-fixing, bid-rigging, and market allocation in the capacitors industry in violation of the Sherman Act.Please see attached intervenor motion...
