UK Competition Authority: OFT releases AA from certain undertakings agreed in 2000 for Tarmac acquisition

AA committed to divest and not to re-acquire an interest in two asphalt plants in Ackworth and Renishaw. In May, the Competition Commission published its decision regarding the planned AA and Lafarge's joint venture, finding that it would not result in a substantial lessening of competition in the areas surrounding these plants.
