China's freight transport, ride-hailing platforms urged to protect driver interests, compete fairly

( January 21, 2022, 04:48 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s road-freight transport platforms Manbang, Lalamove, Didi Freight and Kuaigou Dache, as well as ride-hailing platforms including Didi Chuxing, Caocao Chuxing, T3 Chuxing and Meituan were summoned yesterday by the country’s Ministry of Transport to a meeting, during which the companies were told to consult drivers and trade associations at least one month before introducing any rules relating to pricing, income allocation and membership fees.
