Bernard Hayot-Vindémia supermarket deal in Réunion conditionally approved by French regulator

( May 26, 2020, 10:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Groupe Bernard Hayot’s acquisition of Vindémia, a local distributor of the subsidiaries of supermarket group Casino in the French overseas territory of Réunion, has been approved under conditions after a full investigation, the French competition regulator said today. This is the biggest acquisition by value registered in the region, and Autorité de la Concurrence officials traveled to Réunion last year to conduct interviews in anticipation of the deal's notification. GBH committed to cede seven supermarkets to two local competitors, Make Distribution and Groupe Tak.Statement follows in French....
