Deutsche Telekom wins bid to receive default interest on annulled EU antitrust fine

( January 19, 2022, 10:26 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Deutsche Telekom has won 1.8 million euros in damages from the European Commission, after the regulator refused to pay default interest on an antitrust fine that was paid unduly. The EU's lower-tier General Court sided with the German operator, saying the commission had to repay default interest alongside any money it gives back after a fine is reduced or annulled.
