Eye Way Trading and Casalinga to pay bid-rigging fines in South Africa

( November 29, 2018, 10:51 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Eye Way Trading will pay a fine of 115,000 rand, after South Africa's competition court confirmed the company's settlement with the nation's antitrust watchdog. Eye Way acknowledged that it took part in collusion during a public tender for the supply of fabric use to make uniforms. In a separate case, Casalinga Investments Wasterite's settlement with the authority was also confirmed by the court. The company will pay a fine of 225,690 rand for rigging bids together with Crossmoor Transport during a tender for the supply, operation and maintenance of plant and equipment at designated landfill sites, garden sites and depots around Johannesburg.Statement follows....
