The country's hackers, after a record year of cybertheft, continued to target cryptocurrency and other financial exchanges globally, the report said. Companies in the cryptocurrency, defense, energy and health sectors were particularly targeted. North Korea also continued to engage in illicit financial operations, the panel found. The country continued to develop nuclear weapons and fissile materials, as did ballistic missile activity. The panel investigated "intangible transfers of technology" in potential violations of sanctions. And the report describes "a rich variety of sanctions evasion" deployed by vessels delivering refined petroleum products....
