United Technologies secures antitrust approval in China for Rockwell Collins deal, with conditions

( November 23, 2018, 15:10 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China’s State Administration for Market Regulation has approved United Technologies’ proposed acquisition of Rockwell Collins with restrictive conditions. According to a decision published late last Friday by the regulator, the deal is subject to the divestment of Rockwell’s businesses relating to trimmable horizontal stabilizer actuators and pilot control systems, as well as United Technologies’ research projects relating to oxygen-supply systems. Among other remedies, Rockwell, United Technologies and the combined entity are required not to engage in tying practices or imposing unreasonable conditions when supplying certain aerospace products to China, and to maintain their current business models and to ensure interoperability and compatibility of their products....
