Economists, lawyer and former officials appointed to Australian government antitrust panel

In a statement released today, Treasurer Jim Chalmers also announced economist John Fingleton, the former chief executive of the UK’s Office of Fair Trading and former chairman of the Competition Authority of Ireland, would join the panel, which will be chaired by Kerry Schott, a former government official. Today’s appointments follow those of Danielle Wood, the chair of the Productivity Commission, and Rod Sims, the former chair of the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission....
