( May 15, 2020, 18:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Brazilian competition authority has assumed the co-chairmanship of the mergers & acquisitions working group of the International Competition Network, according to a statement. As of June, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense, or CADE, will co-lead the working group for a three-year period, together with Spanish and UK authorities. The group aims to adopt best practices in the merger analysis process, including improving the effectiveness of merger reviews and reducing both the time and cost of deal reviews.
