Sinopec unit under scrutiny in Switzerland over alleged bribes in Nigeria

( March 27, 2017, 13:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Swiss authorities confirmed today that Addax Petroleum Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China's state-owned oil company Sinopec, is under investigation for allegedly bribing Nigerian public officials. The Public Prosecutor's Office of Geneva also confirmed that two Addax employees were arrested in Switzerland and charged with bribery offenses. It declined to name the employees. The authority said it has powers to prosecute the Addax because it's located in Geneva....
