Panasonic, Sanyo reach tentative settlement over lithium ion batteries with indirect purchasers

( November 21, 2018, 00:06 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Panasonic and Sanyo and a group of indirect purchasers of lithium ion batteries "recently reached a settlement in principle," in long-running price-fixing litigation, according to a court document filed Tuesday. The indirect purchasers lost their bid for class certification, but were still planning to litigate their claims on an individual basis. Terms of the settlement are expected Dec. 21, according to the court filing. Panasonic and Sanyo were the last remaining defendants to settle with the indirect purchasers.
