Australian federal police under fire for repeated use of controversial facial-recognition technology

At a senate committee hearing last night, Australian Federal Police Chief Operating Officer Charlotte Tressler confirmed that members of the agency had made use of PimEyes and FaceCheck.ID multiple times between January and August this year.
