Capacitor-makers fail to get mistrial in US price-fixing lawsuit

By Joshua Sisco ( May 7, 2020, 19:52 GMT | Insight) -- Nippon Chemi-con and Matsuo Electric were unable to win a mistrial in a class action accusing them of fixing the price of capacitors. At a brief online hearing, US District Judge James Donato told the companies and the plaintiffs to submit information about how much time is left in the trial, and he will revisit in two weeks whether to allow it to resume in June or declare a mistrial. A March trial was cut short because of the Covid-19 pandemic.Nippon Chemi-con and Matsuo Electric were unable to win a mistrial in a class action accusing them of fixing the price of capacitors....
