Delaware judge invalidates patent asserted against Google

( September 3, 2014, 14:02 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US District Judge Leonard P. Stark in the District of Delaware has invalidated a patent being asserted against Google by Walker Digital. Stark cited the US Supreme Court decision in the Alice v. CLS Bank case, finding that an abstract idea for a system to recruit new employees did not become patentable just because it was done with a computer. "Merely reciting the use of a generic computer in implementing an unpatentable abstract idea does not inject patentable subject matter into an invention," Stark wrote, citing the Alice decision.Please see attached document...
