Sexual harassment claims against Miss Earth pageant organizer attracts scrutiny of Philippine privacy regulator

( November 13, 2018, 07:53 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Philippines' National Privacy Commission has raised data-privacy issues related to a sexual-harassment controversy involving the organizers of the Miss Earth beauty pageant. In a letter sent today, the regulator asked the organizer, Carousel Productions, to explain within five days the alleged disclosure of a contestant's mobile phone number to a sponsor, and the confiscation of contestants' passports.
