Chinese Ministry of Commerce: China and Taiwan sign Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement(ECFA)

( June 29, 2010, 10:11 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Representatives from Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) and Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) signed the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) which was a milestone in the cross-Strait relation. ECFA is aimed at reducing trade and investment barriers and creating a friendly and fair environment for both sides. Mofcom spokesman commented on ECFA that it is an institutional platform for economic cooperation between Mainland China and Taiwan. See full official statement below....
