SA Airlink and Safair abandon merger plans ahead of court appeal

( November 7, 2018, 09:34 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: SA Airlink and Safair Operations, owner of low-cost airline FlySafair, abandoned merger plans on Oct. 26, South Africa's Competition Commission said. The watchdog blocked the deal in February, and the companies had been due to challenge its decision at the Competition Tribunal later this month.
