South Korea to introduce regulatory sandbox for future mobility sector

South Korea's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyungho announced today that this sandbox, which would provide a temporary reprieve from existing regulations to let mobility firms evaluate their offerings in the market, such as nighttime autonomous buses and parking robots, will commence on Oct. 19. This step is a part of broader efforts to address regulatory hurdles in cutting-edge industries.
