Construction firm Swietelsky fined EUR27.15 million for Austrian bid-rigging

( October 3, 2023, 11:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Austrian company Swietelsky and two of its units have been fined a total of 27.15 million euros by the national competition-specialist court for pricing agreements, market sharing and information exchange, as part of public and private structural and civil-engineering tenders, the antitrust authority said today. The activity took place between July 2002 and October 2017. The fine — which was reduced to reflect Swietelsky's cooperation as part of the leniency program — was requested by the watchdog last year.Statement follows (in German). ...
