Vitol, SK Energy in mediation talks with private plaintiffs in gasoline price-fixing case as California AG settlement nears

( September 21, 2023, 20:12 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Vitol, SK Energy, and private plaintiffs suing the two companies in US federal court over their alleged fixing of gasoline prices are in mediation talks and have identified a potential mediator, as the California attorney general's parallel case nears a final settlement. In a joint statement filed at the US District Court for the Northern District of California, the two companies and the private plaintiffs said the long-form settlement in the enforcers' separate case should be completed by Sept. 26, and asked to push back a planned status conference on that day by 30 days while their own settlement talks continue.Court document attached....
