Austrian radio royalties antitrust dispute settled by parties
( November 29, 2021, 17:18 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Private radio operator Kronehit and Austrian collecting societies AKM and Austro Mechana have reached an agreement on the payment of royalties. Earlier this year, Kronehit had asked the Austrian cartel court for an injunction to bring to an end an alleged dominance abuse related to the calculation of the fees. Kronehit argued its non-royalty free music percentage was below the 75 percent flat rate in the applicable framework agreement for private radios.
