EU parliament adopts new telecom law

( October 27, 2015, 14:43 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Mobile-roaming surcharges for calling, sending text messages and using mobile data when traveling within the EU will be banned from June 15, 2017, following the European Parliament’s final approval of a new telecom law today, the assembly said. The rules will include a “fair use” policy, the exact details of which will be elaborated by the European Commission and national telecom regulators, the parliament said.
