Whiting Petroleum-Kodiak merger receives US antitrust approval

( August 5, 2014, 21:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Whiting Petroleum received US antitrust approval for its proposed $6 billion acquisition of Kodiak Oil & Gas, Whiting said in a statement Tuesday that was included in a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The deal was approved under a sped-up review process known as 'early termination.'
