Reynolds filing HSR paperwork for Lorillard deal on Tuesday, CEO says

( July 29, 2014, 21:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Cigarette maker Reynolds American is filing paperwork Tuesday that would begin the initial government antitrust review, under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, of the company's planned buyout of rival Lorillard, Reynolds CEO Susan Cameron told analysts on a conference call Tuesday. The comments were part of a transcript contained in a filing Lorillard made Tuesday with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. It's estimated that the review will be completed by Aug. 28 unless terminated earlier or extended by antitrust enforcers.Excerpt....
