FTC offers Tennessee assistance in COPA application evaluations

( October 15, 2015, 16:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Federal Trade Commission submitted comments to the Tennessee Department of Health regarding new rules that would allow it to approve healthcare mergers that would likely otherwise be challenged by federal antitrust authorities. The FTC says that while it has concerns about certificate of public advantage programs and other antitrust exemptions, it is willing to supply the department and the Tennessee Attorneys General’s office with its expertise and any information it can in connection with the review of any COPA applications. See document below. ...
