Hegarty has refused to deny tying and monopolization claims against John Manville Corp., saying Thermal Pipe Shields has sufficiently stated plausible claims. Hegarty determined that TPS has shown that JMC has monopoly power over the sale of fiberglass pipe insulation or expanded perlite and threatened to refuse to sell to distributors that purchased from TPS in order to maintain that power.
