Uber agrees to pay $20 million to settle FTC charges over misleading earning claims

( January 20, 2017, 00:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Ride-hailing company Uber Technologies has agreed to pay $20 million to resolve Federal Trade Commission allegations that it misled drivers about potential earnings and vehicle financing. The FTC alleges that Uber drivers' salaries are lower than it claimed on its website and the Uber's Vehicle Solutions Program gave inaccurate prices for leasing or owning a vehicle.
