Navy officer Debord gets 30 month sentence in GDMA port logistics scandal

( January 12, 2017, 23:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Navy Lieutenant  Commander Gentry Debord was sentenced to 30 months in prison for accepting bribes from Glenn Defense Marina Asia, a maritime logistics company owned by Leonard Glenn Francis, in exchange for classified Navy information. Debord was also ordered to pay a $15,000 fine and $37,000 in restitution to the Navy. To date, 16 individuals, including many Navy officers, have been charged in the bribery scheme by which GDMA received information about Navy operations in Asia that enabled it to increase its port logistics contracting.Statement follows.  ...
