Japan's Nippon Steel and Kobe Steel to merge their road businesses

( March 4, 2020, 06:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Japan’s Nippon Steel and Kobe Steel announced that they are merging their road-related businesses. Their respective subsidiaries Nippon Steel Metal Products and Kobelco Engineered Construction Materials will be integrating their road operations, which include making and selling guard fencing, soundproof walls, and landscaping. Nippon Steel Metal Products will hold 65 percent and Kobe Steel 35 percent of the integrated company, and Kobelco Engineered Construction Materials will be the succeeding company in an absorption-type company split.
