CADE clears Monsanto, Sumitomo Chemical herbicide supply deal

( July 7, 2014, 09:44 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Brazilian antitrust authority CADE has approved, without imposing restrictions, a supply deal between Monsanto and Sumitomo Chemical. The transaction comprises a collaboration agreement for the promotion and marketing of flumioxazin herbicide, which Sumitomo produces for use in soybean crops. The product will be marketed under the Sumisoya brand, as part of Monsanto’s line of herbicide pest-control products associated with its Roundup brand.
