Raízen, Vibra Energia, Ipiranga to face further scrutiny from Brazil’s CADE in antitrust probe

By Paula Mariane ( August 2, 2023, 21:59 GMT | Insight) -- Raízen Combustíveis, Petrobras Distribuidora (currently Vibra Energia) and Ipiranga Produtos de Petróleo will be further scrutinized in Brazil for allegedly harming competition by forming a consortium to participate in lease auctions for port areas intended for the movement and storage of fuel. The agency’s Superintendence decided to close the probe due to a lack of evidence on July 7. However, Tribunal Councilor Luis Henrique Bertolino Braido asked the agency to assign a councilor to further review the case.
