Vending machine operators see Italian antitrust fines reduced

( March 9, 2020, 17:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Antitrust fines imposed on vending-machine companies Gruppo Illiria, Gruppo Argenta, IVS Italia, Gesa, Serim and Liomatic have been reduced, according to an official notice published by Italy’s competition authority today. The watchdog had to review the fine, after judges sitting at country’s high administrative court Consiglio di Stato sided with the operators’ challenge of the fine, ordering the authority to redetermine the sanction by cutting the component related to an “entry fee.” In June 2016, the watchdog imposed fines totaling more than 100 million euros on the main operators of such vending machines, including a trade association, for maintaining high price levels and sharing markets and clients.See the decision attached in Italian....
