US Senator Graham introduces EARN IT Act

( March 5, 2020, 19:13 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: US Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, introduced legislation that would tie online platform immunity from liability for user-generated content to those platforms' compliance with "best practices" established by a new National Commission on Online Child Sexual Exploitation Prevention. A Department of Justice official selected by the attorney general would chair the 19-member commission. Congress would have to approve the best practices under fast track procedure. The bill has bipartisan cosponsors, including Richard Blumenthal, Democrat of Connecticut.See documents below....
