Dismissal of privacy case against Six Flags should be reversed, Illinois Supreme Court told

( July 5, 2018, 20:45 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Illinois Supreme Court should reverse a state appeals court decision dismissing a lawsuit filed by Stacy Rosenbach, the mother of a minor, against Six Flags amusement park for allegedly violating the Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), Rosenbach's attorneys said in a brief to the court. The appeals court's finding that Rosenbach didn't allege she'd suffered an actual injury, and couldn't satisfy the “aggrieved person” requirement under the law should be reversed to "preserve the purpose of the BIPA to protect the personal biometric information of the citizens of Illinois through private regulatory enforcement of the BIPA’s protections."See document below....
