EU car tariffs could be cut to reach 'mini' trade deal with US

The EU and US are in intense talks on a deal to cut industrial tariffs, remove non-controversial sanitary and phytosanitary barriers to trade, simplify conformity assessment rules, and boost cooperation on energy and technology. Lowering EU tariffs on autos to 2.5 percent could be part of the package, MLex understands.
