Tesco pays GBP193 million to settle final accounting-scandal claim

( October 6, 2021, 10:32 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Supermarket chain Tesco Plc has paid 193 million pounds ($261 million), to settle the final civil claim associated with its 2014 misstatement of profits amounting to 264 million pounds. The settlement comes on top of the 129 million-pound settlement it reached with the Serious Fraud Office and another multimillion-pound agreement reached with other claimants.
