Airoldi Metalli loses EU court challenge to aluminum extrusions registration obligation

( October 5, 2021, 11:37 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Airoldi Metalli cannot challenge an EU obligation from 2020 to register imports of aluminum extrusions from China, the bloc's first-tier General Court has ruled. The court has rejected Airoldi Metalli's action as inadmissible, and judges said the applicant had no interest in bringing proceedings in the present case. The final antidumping duties adopted by the European Commission's definitive regulation in March levied non-retroactive tariffs. The court dismissed Airoldi Metalli's argument that it would need a ruling for possible damages claims against the commission, saying that the company's intention remained hypothetical.See the full court order attached....
